ELINEY SETTLES IN

Sunshine Coast's visiting Brazilian coach has settled in well, and has already conducted a number of clinics at the coast.
This week he is at the national titles coaching the Queensland Mens team and assisting the coaches of, some of the junior teams.
Ney ( he wishes to be called Ney) goes home on the 17th February, so we wish him well.

NATIONAL TITLES KICK OFF

This year's national titles kick off on Wednesday morning, and this year Queensland has 21 teams attending, from the under 10's through to our open mens side.Five buses left QFA head office at 9.30 pm last night, with around 200 people on board. From a Queensland perspective this is the most organised we have been in terms of the adminstrative issues ( gear, accommodation, meals etc.) and I must pay complement to Nicola who has handled this totally on her own. Only a few would remember that Nic started with Queensland Futsal as an 18 year trainee straight from Maroochydore High School and now in her 'mid twenties' has taken over full responsibility for all our tournaments and tours.
Lets hope we come back with a few titles. The buses will return back to QFA office Monday morning around 6.00 am.

NOTE: We will be putting up nightly updates and photos on the website www.qldfutlal.com.au , so go in there after 7.00 pm for results.

REGIONAL TITLES

After the return of our players from the national club titles, we will be focussing more on the regional titles.
This year they are in Logan City/Mt Gravatt/Beenleigh.The regionals will be played Saturday,Sunday and Monday of Easter with Tuesday being the FUTSAL FUN day at Movieworld on the Gold Coast. The teams attending will only be required to pay the $300 entry fee( around $40 a player) plus use their regional gear( country regions have additional accomodation and transport costs).
Regions are presently organising sides so stay tuned.

HUMOUR

Kenny Dalgleish, the great Liverpool player was at home watching television. He suddenly gets a phone call from his foreward partner, Ian Rush.

' Kenny, I bought this jigsaw puzzle at the supermarket and I've laid it out on the kitchen table but its too hard...can you come round and help me ?'

Kenny answers ' OK then I'll come round , but whats it a jigsaw of ?'

' It looks like a big rooster on the cover of the box, but it doesn't seem to fit ' answers Ian.

Kenny drives round and walks in the door of the kitchen and looks on the table.

' Ian ' he says ' get the cornflakes off the table and put them back in the packet ! '
