Westpac team to watch

WESTPAC with the services of national futsal reps Josefa Dugucagi and Uraia Loki are the favourites for the Sportsworld sponsored Bula Olympics Futsal Tournament in Nadi.

The Westpac team is unbeaten after three matches in Pool One.

Tournament organiser Javed Ahmed said the event kicked off on Tuesday with three rounds of matches being played.

He said the tournament would end at the Nadi Sports Club this afternoon.

"Westpac is the team to watch," Ahmed said.

"Both Loki and Dugucagi have great knowledge of the game. They displayed brilliant touches in the opening matches. The side is unbeaten and is the favourite to qualify for the semi finals."

The Kings Investment Two team is also unbeaten after three rounds. The side has the services of Nadroga reps Samuela Drudru and Levi Tawake.

"This is the first hard court futsal tournament in Nadi," Ahmed said.

"We would like to thank the sponsors Sportsworld and also the Nadi Sports Club for making this event possible. The court is newly renovated. Some players in the competition are exceptional and have the potential to represent the national team."
