Kah Huat & Brothers' Support For UBD Team

Bandar Seri Begawan - Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) received a major boost on Friday - their futsal team getting a shirt sponsorship from Kah Huat and Brothers Workshop for the upcoming 15th Asean University Games (AUG) in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

UBD will send 23 students to compete in futsal, karate, pencak silat and table tennis at the Dec 15-23 competition.

In the previous edition of the Games, the pencak silat team returned home with a bronze medal from the men's regu (team) event in Kuala Lumpur in 2008.

Accompanying the contingent this year will be three officers and one technical officer.

Meanwhile, Malaysia have set a 24-gold medal target, nine of it from athletics, for this year's AUG.

The 227-member Malaysian contingent will be taking part in 15 of the 16 sports contested.
