by
Luca RanocchiariA kind of classic for the Under 21 category.
Slovenia and
Italy characterized two more friendly games in the middle of december, playing their 8th and 9th challenge, this time on slovenian soil. Pitch results were once again in favour of the young azzurri selection coached by
Raoul Albani, reaching their 7th win in a "clashes history" started in 1999 during a tournament in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy. Slovenian guys could not increase their record of one win (on past March in Skofije) and one tie (in the prestigious St. Petersburg UEFA Under 21 tournament), losing both games played in Koper (
0-4 the final score, italian goals by Rizzo (2), Racanicchi and Costa) and Lucija-Portoroz (
1-2 due to the Rizzo and Schettino goals for Italy, Sirok the slovenian goalscorer).
Let's hope that the greatest part of local futsal committees and national associations keep on working with the Under 21 selection, though in the absence of "official" competitions. We have to build our future!
Below have a look at the slovenian roster headed by
Matej Kavcic under the supervision of the national selector
Andrej Dobovicnik.
