In the impressive list of tournaments and friendly games held in December, Romania was not an exception to the rule. The Sito Rivera's team welcomed Portugal in Targu Mures, playing two interesting matches on the 14th and 15th of the month.
The first one was decided in the very last minutes, with Paulinho and Hatei under the spotlight in the 1-1 draw.

Portugal proved to be stronger the day after, thrashing Romania through a 7-2 triumph, characterized by the hat trick of the Sporting craque Cardinal.

We have to remind that Romania will host the Croatia 2012 Qualifiers Group 4, again in Targu Mures, trying to win the mini-tournament also composed of Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as of the Preliminary Round Group F (in Dublin: Ireland, Israel, Andorra and Norway) winner.
