Solomon Star NewsAmical traps one more Kurukuruby
Carlos AruafuThursday, 06 January 2011Newcomers to the O-League Amical FC of Vanuatu have signed another Solomon Islands national futsal player Lenson Bisili.
Mr Bisili’s agreement with Amical FC came after another Kurukuru player Micah Lea’alafa turned down Amicals offer last week.
Mr Micah turned down the offer because he has to return to Australia to feature for his club team Sydney Warriors in the semi finals.
Mr Bisili will team up with fellow Solomon Islanders currently playing for Amical
Some of the local players are Nelson Sale, Richard Anisua, Jack Whitney and Stanley Waita.
Amical FC has recently been a team to watch following the registration of local players.
Amical FC is in the O’league’s Group B alongside Lautoka FC, champions Hekari United from Papua New Guinea and Koloale FC of the Solomon Islands.
The Vanuatu club champions have scoured the Solomon Islands for talents and Bisili is the latest to sign after the signings of Kossa FC striker Moffat Deremoa, Zome Mars United defender Adika Maeta, national futsal squad member Jack Wetney and the Hekari duo Stanley Waita and Alick Mamae.
The new inclusion will further increase the Solomon Island contingent in the club.
Batram Suri, Nelson Sale, Kidston Billy, Richard Anisua and Mostyn Sanga are the Solomon Islands imported players who starred for Amical in the National Super League, which Amical won to qualify for the O-League.
Amical club management ealier said that the side’s recruitment drive is not yet over yet.
Bisili left yesterday for Vanuatu accompanied by Gibson Daudau and newly assigned assistant coach Luke Eroi.
