Matale Thomians retain Futsal title

St. Thomas’, Matale retained the Matale schools under 19 Futsal title for the second consecutive year as they trounced Christ Church College, Matale by 5 goals to nil in the final played at the Bernard Aluvihare Stadium in Matale recently.For the champions S. Ratwatte and J.C. Bandara scored two goals each and S.B. Ekanayake one. Ranjith Aluvihare and S. Prabhakaran controlled the game.Teams from Christ Church, St. Thomas,’ Royal English and Hindu MV participated.

In the semi-final, St. Thomas’ beat Hindu MV. 2-0, Chrish Church beat St. Thomas’ (B) 2-1
