Turul girls getting a kick out of futsal

Titans have two teams doing well in Toronto league

OSHAWA -- The Oshawa Turul 98 Titans finished the 2010 year on a very high note.

With the team split into two squads in the Toronto Futsal League, the Turul No. 1 team won 10-3 and the Turul No. 2 won 7-3 to end the year with wins.

Turul 1 had a record of four wins and one loss and was tied for first place while Turul 2 was in second place with two wins, two losses and a tie.

This is the first year this group of young ladies has ever played futsal, a variation of soccer that is played on a smaller playing surface and mainly played indoors. They are playing in the U-14 division against bigger and older girls but in true Titan spirit they never give up.
