Glen Innes ExaminerA great turn out for futsal03 Feb, 2011The recent Futsal “Come and Try” day proved to be a great success according to local organisers Ian and Leteisha Hope and Stewart and Tracey Symons, with over 70 players of all ages turning up to try this fast paced and exciting game.
It was a fun filled afternoon for all with representatives from Northern Inland Futsal in attendance including Northern Inland Futsal staff and Brazilian National League Player Vinicius De Carvalho Leite, who helped run the afternoon along with local stars Kelly and Tara Archibald who also play representative Futsal.
The competition now seems almost certain to go ahead starting Wednesday February 15 with the new venue being the New Pavilion at the Glen Innes Showground.
There will be a registration day at the New Pavilion on Sunday February 6 from 12noon til 2.00pm, and it is hoped that there will be another huge roll up including all those who were at the come and try day.
Again there will be representatives from Northern Inland Futsal in attendance including the Brazilian National League Player, Vinicius De Carvalho Leite so it should be another fun afternoon.
If for any reason interested players are unable to make it to the registration day, registrations can still be made by contacting:
