Old Joes SC to conduct Futsal Soccer Quad

Old Joes SC and Soccer Advisory Committee of St. Joseph’s College have made elaborate arrangements to conduct an Old Boys Futsal Soccer Quadrangular tournament which is to be held on Saturday, February 26 at Darley Road, Colombo 10.

Some of the finest exponents of the game produced by St. Peter’s, St. Benedict’s, S. Thomas’ and the host school St. Joseph’s Colleges will be seen in this inaugural one day tournament.

Each school will be fielding an ‘A’ and ‘B’ team and will have been divided into two groups.

Each session of play will be for a duration of seven minutes, with a one minute break.

The leaders and runners-up will vie for the ‘Yoga Cruze’ Challenge Trophy, while the third and fourth placed teams of each group will contest the ‘Plate’ Trophy donated by Dr. Anton Mariadasan while the tournament has been sponsored by D.L.H. Ganlath an ex-captain of Old Joes and a former President of the Soccer Advisory Committee of St. Joseph’s College.
