Kuala Lumpur: Refereeing continues to be the focus of the second part of the AFC Elite Education Seminar (EES) 2011 here with the commencement of two courses – New Referee Assessors’ and Futsal Referee Instructors’ Courses – on Monday (February 14, 2011).
Trainers from the AFC Referees Department will instruct the former course which will be attended by 13 participants and conclude on the same day.
The latter course, to run until February 16 and to be attended by 10 participants, will be taught by FIFA Instructors Yasuhori Matsuzaki (Japan) and Pedro Galan Nieto (Spain) as well as Guest Instructor from UEFA Ivan Novak (Croatia).
The second part of the EES 2011, which takes place from February 9 to 23, 2011, features nine refereeing-oriented courses and two coaching-based courses.
The first part of the EES from December 2 to 14, 2010, covered nine courses focusing on the education of referees, administrators, match commissioners, local media officers and others.
The EES is the continent’s largest sports educational fair which is held annually by AFC.
