Mixed Stars Beat JS FT For Title

Bandar Seri Begawan - Mixed Stars lifted the Syarikat Dayang Limah dan Anak-Anak's Trophy after defeating JS FT in a thrilling final match of the 2nd Dayang Limah dan Anak-Anak Futsal Championship in a penalty shootout at the Multipurpose Hall of Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sunday.

The two teams fought tooth and nail but failed to score and the match had to be decided on spot-kicks.

Youth Futsal 2015 thrashed Puspa United 3-1 to take third place.

Mixed Stars won $800, atrophy and the Challenge Trophy while second placed JS FT bagged $400 and Youth Futsal received $200.

Fourth place Puspa United won $100.

The eight quarterfinalists also received prizes from the organiser, Shah United Futsal Team.

Meanwhile, two Mixed Stars players - Mohamad Azwan Ali Rahman was chosen as the Best Player while goalie Mohamad Fakhrul Zulhazmi Yussof was selected as the Best Goalkeeper.

Both players were rewarded with cash prize money and trophy.

The Director of Syarikat Dayang Limah dan Anak-Anak, Hj Syed Mohamad Yusof Hj Syed Anayatullah Shah presented the prizes to the winners.

A total of 42 teams nationwide participated in this second edition of the championship.
