by Hanni ABD Sunday

20 March 2011

Kuala Belait - A futsal tournament specifically for teenagers that was jointly organised by the Kg Pandan Youth Parents Movement (GIBB), Sayyidina Ali Secondary School (SMSA) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) took place yesterday morning at SMSA premises in Kuala Belait.

The futsal tournament, which is carrying the theme `Futsal Is My Anti-Drug', was held for the first time as a new way of reaching out to the younger generation regarding the dangers of drugs.

Twelve teams from schools and consultative councils in the Belait District participated in the tournament.

In addition to its anti-drugs message, the tournament is also aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.

As a side activity, officers from the NCB set-up a mini-exhibition on drugs and distributed leaflets to students.
