RTB NewsKHEU Futsal Championship02/04/2011The Department of Islamic Studies 'A' emerged as champion of the Futsal Championship of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and its departments for the second year running. The championship was vying for the Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Mahdi Challenge Trophy.
In the final match, the Islamic Studies Department 'A' defeated the Mosque Affairs Department 'A', 2-NIL through a penalty kick after both teams were tied to a goalless draw. The championship is one of the annual activities of the Administration Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Prizes were presented by the Permanent Secretary One, at the Ministry, Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Mahdi. The championship also aimed to encourage staff and officers to be active in sports besides scouting for potential players to represent the ministry.
