Amy Wilson-ChapmanFREMANTLE’S youngsters have an opportunity to rub shoulders with Australian futsal champions while keeping active.
With the help of the North Fremantle Bowling Club, Futsal WA has moved into the area and is running clinics each Friday for primary school-aged children.
WA Futsal manager Eldon Abrahams said futsal was a fast-paced small-sided soccer game that was hugely popular across the globe. He said the organisation wanted to offer children the opportunity to emulate world-class players.
Club president Rob Fittock said it was a great plus for the club, because the young children could use the previously unused space without creating much damage.
Although the clinics run in nine-week stints, Abrahams said children were welcome to come down and take part in one or two sessions if they liked.
The clinics run each Friday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and cost $10 each session or $80 for the 9 weeks.
For more information about the clinics, call Abrahams on 0413 805 684.
