RTB NewsJPM Futsal Championship7/4/2011The Futsal Championship for the Prime Minister's Office kicked off last night with 35 teams taking part. The championship is being organised by the Public Service Commission Department.
The championship was officially launched by the Acting Secretary at the Public Service Commission Department, Awang Salminan Bin Haji Burut. Two categories were competed. Eleven teams are in the Special category and 24 teams in the Open category.
Last night saw a selected match in the special category. The Prime Minister's Office took on the Public Service 'A', and the match ended with a one-all draw.
In the match for the Open category, Radio Television Brunei 'B', in blue jersey, played against the Information Department team. The match ended with a goalless draw.
The championship which is divided into four groups continues until the 23rd of this month. Meanwhile matches for groups in both Special and Open categories will begin tomorrow at the multi-purpose hall of
Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
