Perth Youth Futsal

THERE are no Youth Futsal sessions this week, but the season continues at Bell’s Sports Centre next Friday (April 15) with the last round of league and cup games as well as the PYF Skillz school and PYF Academy coaching sessions.

The club are looking for additional volunteer coaches, administration help, committee members and sponsors to help the club continue making progress. Anyone interested in helping should get in touch asap.

The PYF Level 1 course will be run on the evening of Wednesday, April 13, from 7–10pm, at Bell’s Sports Centre. The course is only available to PYF coaches and only coaches who have passed the course will be able to participate in coaching sessions once the new season starts in August.

Plans are underway to hold a PYF Level 2 course in the summer – this will be aimed at coaches who are interested in managing PYF Saltires teams as it will be more focussed on the tactical side of things – it will be run by top class international coaches, including the coach of the Cypriot National Futsal Team. Plans are also in place to undertake a coaches trip to Madrid in late summer to participate in a week-long coaching camp with Spanish giants Interviu Madrid, one of the most famous teams in world Futsal.

The club's Perth Saltires team were in action last Monday when they played in an exciting encounter against Perth City. A good all round team performance saw the squad record a 12–2 victory. PYF Man of the Match was Steven Myles.

The team is in action again this Monday evening when they face SDIF in a 7.40pm kick off.
