Coryse Borg19 April 2011Futsal is becoming increasingly popular
The mechanics and skills of this fast-moving indoor game no doubt attract the attention of many individuals, males and females, who intend to take up teaching and eventually coaching 5-a-side football teams.
The MFA is fully engaged in this educational programme and similar courses feature regularly on its calendar of activities.
Over the past weeks a basic Futsal course was attended by 16 candidates who were all keen to improve their knowledge of the game with a view to imparting its skills. The course, conducted by national coach Vic Hermans, was held within the MFA complex at Ta’ Qali. The candidates were impressed by the teaching content which presented them with a wider insight of the game.
At the end of the event all participants were awarded certificates.
The candidates were E. Gauci, K. Mizzi, M Camilleri, J. Farrugia, A. B. Spiteri, S Gauci, P. Rapa, M. Gaffiero, C. Casha, A. Florin, E. Schembri, P. Vella. Vic Hermans is standing fourth from the left.
