On the 18th February 2011 Spartans Futsal Club from England National League travelled to Kosovo for a friendly against 1st place team F.C BESA.

The match was organised by Spartans and England national player Agon Rexha who has Kosovan origin and also the President of F.C Besa Adnan Hyseni who paid for all the expenses for the trip. The Spartans team arrived at Pristina Airport to the sound of the fc besa fans welcoming them into the country with their singing and drums and they also had the 2 flags of the representing countries with them to show respect. After the hour journey on the bus, when they arrived at the hotel, the singing started and the cameras and pictures started to take place outside the hotel. The next day was a rest day where everyone chilled out where the team had the chance to go to the beautiful mountains of Rugove which is the most popular place for tourists visiting Kosovo. It has some beautiful and spectacular views of mountains with beautiful streams and waterfalls.

Sunday 20th was match day, the 2 teams walked out to 2000 people screaming and singing, drums banging, the crowd repeatedly shouted SPARTANS SPARTANS! in respect of the visiting team. they also shouted the name of Agon Rexha who has kosovan origin. The game ended 6-4 after extra time!

Well done to FC Besa on the win! The result wasn't important at the end of the day, what was important was the organisation of Mr Adnan Hyseni who went to the extremes to make sure this match wont be forgotten and we believe he achieved that. Just look at the pictures and you will see.

The Spartans team were all shocked to see how well this match was organised and how the city of Peja and the country of Kosovo respected them and really made them feel at home. Kosovo therefore deserve to be a part of UEFA championships after showing massive interest in futsal and brilliant organisation for the match.

Agon Rexha gave Adnan Hyseni a signed England shirt by all the Spartans players as a thank you gesture.
