According to the
Divisione Calcio a 5 Italy will not take part to the tournament in Malaysia. The italian futsal federation never accepted to travel through Malaysia, and refused the proposal since the first time.
It seems that also Spain will renounce to the KL5.

Courtesy: TheStar-onlineMalaysia drawn with Holland, JapanPETALING JAYA: Hosts Malaysia have Holland and Japan for company in Group C of the Kuala Lumpur World 5's Futsal (five-a-side indoor football) tournament scheduled at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil from June 3 to 8.
The hosts were given the privilege of picking their group and Malaysia's Brazilian coach Silvio Sergio Machada coolly picked Group C at the draw ceremony here yesterday.
World champions Spain, the favourites in the 12-team tournament, are in Group A with Russia and Indonesia while the fancied Brazilians will start in Group B with England and Thailand. Italy, the current European champions are in Group D with Asian champions Iran and host of the 2004 Futsal World Cup, Taiwan.
GOOD DRAW:
Members of the Malaysian team giving the thumbs up to the draw which was conducted Tuesday. Malaysia are in Group C with Japan and Holland.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Hishamuddin Tun Hussein who was at the draw ceremony said he was delighted that Malaysia was chosen as the host.
“We want to promote futsal in a big way especially to the young. It is a fast and exciting game,’’ said Hishammuddin.
He also said that the government was serious in promoting events organised by ESPN STARSports and FAM. Astro would be broadcasting the event.
