VN futsal team take on Uzbek side

The Vietnamese men's futsal (indoor football) team will play against Ardus FC of Uzbekistan in the opening match of the Uzbekistan Open International Futsal Championship today.

Coached by Italy's Sergio Gargelli, the Vietnamese team will play their second match against Neftchi FC of Azerbaijan tomorrow and their third and final game against Norilsky-Nikel of Russia next Tuesday.

The team have been strengthened by the return of goalkeeper Dang Phuoc Anh and some players who have trained in Spain, but they have to do without the services of captain Nguyen Bao Quan.
