Once upon a time...

Year 2000, maybe you were waiting for the Millennium Bug. But actually something more important came to your life (yeah, we're joking don't worry!) through the introduction of the eagerly awaited Futsalplanet.com annual awards.

Year 2000, Manoel Tobias was simply the best while we could not even think to reach the second edition of such a futsal event. But passion is stronger than any hurdle and basically Futsalplanet.com is a story of (crazy) passion!

That's why, ladies & gentlemen, in the year 2011 we're still here and keep on celebrating the best ones of worldwide futsal!

Let's declare open the UMBRO Futsal Awards 2010 - 11th edition by Futsalplanet.com

The 2010 edition of the Umbro Futsal Awards will register a little change in the former Under 21 Best Player Category, which will now move to a Young Player Category. No worries, we will reintroduce the Under 21 prize as soon as confederations and national FAs will understand the basic role of youth futsal. That's the challenge!

"I've started with futsal". Sorry, you're not our man...
Year 2011, and we're still forced to read reports in which soccer stars declare their supposed love for futsal and the basic role played in their development as soccer athletes. But come on guys, let's talk about our heroes... Manoel Tobias, Falcão, Adriano Foglia, Javi Rodriguez, Vladislav Shayakhmetov, Schumacher, Kike and... who's next? They are the best player category winners from the beginning of the Futsalplanet Awards, people who started with futsal and ended/will end with it! As mentioned twelve months ago: Futsal belong to futsal people, and we work for them.
