Perth Youth Futsal

THE PYF agm will take place at Bell’s Sports Centre on Saturday, June 4. All members are welcome to attend.

With many interesting developments and changes in the pipeline for the 2011/12 season, the club are looking for additional volunteer coaches / admin help / committee members / sponsors to help the club continue making progress.

The club’s Unreal Madrid team were on the hunt for more silverware last Monday evening when they overcame Cherrybank in the semi-final and then defeated Breadalbane in the Cup Final to secure the double, having won the league title a few weeks ago.

The team is now preparing to participate in the UEFA Futsal Cup in August, and strenuous efforts are underway to convince UEFA to select Perth as a host venue. With all the paperwork now submitted it’s an anxious few weeks ahead as the players and officials await the verdict of the SFA and UEFA.

In the meantime, preparations are also ongoing for the PYF Open which will be held at the end of the month. The annual PYF Open tournament takes place on Sunday, June 26 and entries are invited from any team interested in participating. Age groups are 14/15 and 16/17 years old, as well as an adult group.

The Perth Youth Futsal season restarts on August 26 and will continue with the same format as usual. Applications are invited from teams wishing to participate in the 14/15 years old and 16/17 years old groups, as well as any player wishing to participate in the PYF Skillz school, which is open to any player aged up to 14 years old. Places are limited in each group, so early applications are advised.
