Kuala Lumpur: Futsal has become a very popular pastime among fans of all walks of life.

It appeals to all age groups -- young, old, professional and amateurs.

However, the growing interest in the game is not reciprocated in increased awareness of the laws of the game.

Courts and tournaments mushroom all over the cities and even countrysides. The immediate implication is that for the most part, the game is played without proper knowledge or application of the laws.

It is not uncommon to find tournament organisers and fans of the game playing with modified laws and pitches.

Unfortunately, this has caused a distortion of sorts and somewhere along the line, the actual game is lost.

Therefore, the AFC's Referees Department has started a new quiz on futsal laws that will open your eyes and expand your mind.

Give it a shot. Even if you get them all right, it won’t make you a referee.

But it will make you a true-blue and wise fan of futsal.
