 Brazil Unveils Futsal Team and Youth Select Squad Rosters for 2003 Copa Latina de Futsal
Brazil's Futsal National Team and Selected Youth Squad were unveiled, on 12 May, as they will compete in the 2003 Copa Latina de Futsal Ginásio Cidade de São Bernardo, Brazil from 15-17 May.
The second annual tournament will also feature the futsal national teams' of Mexico and Uruguay in the round-robin event.
Mexico will open the competition on 15 May against Uruguay at 18:30 local time, while three-time FIFA world champion samba kings meet the Brazilian youth select team at 20:00.
The next day, Mexico will battle Brazil at 18:30, while Uruguay takes on the Brazilian youth select at 20:00.
The four-team event concludes on 17 May, as Mexico squares off against the Brazilian youths at 8:30, while the host faces Uruguay at 10:15.
The samba kings took the first-ever Copa Latina last year, with a 2:1 victory over Spain on 8 September 2002. Uruguay took the third-place honors that same day after topping Argentina 7:6 on penalty kicks after a 2:2 tie at the end of regulation.
