Al Karkh forge into finals

Doha: The line-up for the AFC Futsal Club Championship 2011 was completed on Wednesday when Al Karkh of Iraq defeated Indonesia’s Harimau Rawa 6-1 in the playoff.

On target for the Iraqis in their successful quest for a spot in the finals were: Hussein Al Zubaidi (two goals), Abdulkareem Al Sharshahi (three goals) and Mustafa Mahdi. Stefanus Home was on target in Rawa’s consolatory effort.

The big win rewarded Al Karkh a berth alongside Qatar’s Al Rayyan, Nagoya Oceans of Japan, and Zhejiang Dragon of China in the main tournament and they kick off their campaign against hosts Al Rayyan on 26 June.
