Women's Futsal League Starts Sunday

Guam - The 2011 Bud Light Women’s Futsal League will begin this Sunday when defending champions Orange Crushers will take on Hyundai in a rematch of last year’s championship match.

Hyundai will have some momentum after winning the 2011 Bud Light Women’s Soccer League last month, but the Crushers will also be boosted by the summer returns of Anjelica Perez, Simie Willter and Faith Thompson. The match will kick-off at 1 p.m.

Also interesting will be the 2 p.m. match between dck Masters and Quality Distributors. The two squads faced off in the third-place match last month, which Quality won in a shootout. Newcomers Subaru WRX will face Guam Shipyard at 3 p.m. and Pretzelmaker Bombers play Lady Strykers at 4 p.m. Guahan.com has a bye this week. All matches will take place at the Guam Sports Complex in Harmon.
