Shams named Iran deaf futsal team technical manager

TEHRAN - Former Iran futsal coach Hossein Shams has been named as technical manager of the country’s deaf futsal team.

“I want to help Iran deaf futsal team to get good results in the World Championship. I will work without pay in the team,” Shams said.

Hossein Shams inspired the Iranian futsal team to win the AFC Futsal Championship in 1999, 2000, 2007, 2008 and 2010.

Iran will take part in the 2011 World Deaf Futsal Championship which will be held in Orebro, Sweden from November 5 to 12.
