From www.asian-football.comSouth Americans sign up for KL 5sArgentina and Uruguay have confirmed their participation in the KL World 5's Futsal Championship, scheduled to be held between June 3-8 at Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Jalil Indoor Stadium.
These two South American giants of futsal are joined in the 12-team event by, among others, Brazil and Iran, the current Asian futsal champions.
"We are glad that the both teams have confirmed their participation," said the Football Association of Malaysia's Assistant General Secretary, Dato' Yap Nyim Keong. "Argentina and Uruguay both have a strong background of futsal, and we hope to see their best in this tournament."
This main Asian futsal event of 2003 is the AFC Futsal Championship, held in Japan between July 27-August 5.
