Craig Warhurst5th October 2011ELLA Flack has been one of the brightest stars in the Gympie Miners football side line-up all winter.
Now she is an Australian All-Star after being selected in the Australian Futsal side at recent national titles in Brisbane during the school holidays.
Flack was an integral part of the Queensland Country side and scored ten goals during the tournament.
Unfortunately Queensland Country finished second last in the tournament but Flack did enough to be one of five girls selected in the All-Stars side.
"I was stoked," Flack said.
"I wasn't expecting it, but I was so happy."
What made Flack's selection even more surprising was she was playing up a year level in the under-16s.
Flack is only 15.
The selection follows on from The Gympie State High School student's selection as a shadow in the Queensland Schoolgirls outdoor football side at the start of the year.
She said that was her real goal at the moment to crack a state outdoor football side.
Flack enjoyed Futsal because it was a tighter game that needed more skill and agility to compete well.
"It's a lot faster because it is played in a smaller area," Flack said.
