Al Wasl clinch Futsal Super Cup

Dubai to host this indoor event every year

Al Wasl Club won the first edition of 'Futsal Super Cup' after beating Abu Dhabi Police Club 9-0 on Sunday at Al Shabab Club.

The competition was held under the patronage and attendance of Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

Dubai will host the Indoor Super Cup annually as per the Memorandum of Association, signed recently between Dubai Sports Council and Sharjah Sports Council and reactivated with a friendly beach football match between Dubai's Furjan Champion and Sharjah's Suburb Champion.

The Memorandum of Association includes several fields in the local sports sector such cooperation to organise various sports activities and events, coordination to prepare and exchange researches and studies related to the youth and sports fields, and participation in conferences, symposiums, vocational forums and workshops aimed at upgrading the system of both parties.
