Oxford MailWeakened Lions let it slipSaturday 22nd October 2011A weakened Oxford Lions side let slip a commanding lead before losing 9-4 at Loughborough University in the National League Midlands Group.
It was looking good for the Lions as they took a 3-1 half-time lead However, with only three substitutes available, they ran out of steam Lions’ fell foul of the five-foul penalty rule which gave Loughborough four penalties in the last ten minutes, two of which were saved by Roni Machado.
Their goals came from Diego Rocha (2), England captain Luke Ballinger and Edgar Da’Silva.
