The AFC.comComfortable opener for ChinaMonday, 14 November 2011Kuala Lumpur: China eased to a 9-1 victory over Macau in the opening Group B match of the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship East Zone qualifiers at the Cheras Indoor Stadium on Sunday.
Zhang Xi set the ball rolling by breaking the deadlock after just three minutes before Feng Wei doubled China's lead with the first of his hat-trick five minutes later.
Skipper Cong Lin made it 3-0 in the ninth minute and after Feng struck number four in the 14th minute, the China captain scored his second a minute from the break to give the 2008 and 2010 AFC Futsal Championship semi-finalists a five-goal cushion at half-time.
There was to be no let up from the Chinese in the second period with Zhao Liang and Deng Tao scoring in the 26th and 27th minutes respectively before Hu Jie netted number eight with five minutes left on the clock.
Geofredo de Sousa Cheung scored a consolation for Macau with two minutes remaining only for Feng to complete his hat-trick and the 9-1 win on the stroke of full time.
