SEA GAMES: Vietnam just nick it

FUTSAL: Vietnam edged Malaysia in the Sea Games futsal semi-final with a 3-2 win after extra-time in Cibubur yesterday.

Quynh Toan Luu scored the winner in the 46th minute after the regulation 40 minutes ended 1-1 when Abu Haniffa Hassan's 37th minute strike cancelled Bao Quan Nguyen's opener nine minutes earlier.

Vietnam went ahead through Hoang Vinh Tran three minutes into extra-time before Asmie Amir Zahari equalised a minute later. Malaysia will meet Indonesia in the bronze medal match today after the hosts went down 7-4 to favourites Thailand in the other semi-final.
