White Tiger 12 grab Arena’s futsal title

KUCHING: A total of 33 teams competed in the 4th Arena Sukan Under-12 Futsal Challenge trophy at Arena Sukan Complex, Jalan Wan Alwi, last Sunday.

Assistant Minister of Youth Development and Housing, Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah officiated at the opening of the event.

A total of 68 matches were played on a round robin system, and a knockout system in the semi final round.

In the final White Tiger 12 beat War 15 H2 1-0 to emerged as champion.

As champion the team received cash RM800, first runner-up, War 15 H2 walked away with RM400 and second runner-up Bandar Selatan bagged RM250.

While ZAF United was adjudged the Fair play team, winner.

The winning teams were also awarded with medals.

Through the tournaments, Arena Sukan is offering a platform to identify potential talents to be honed to represent the state at national level.

This Saturday, Arena Sukan will kick off the Under-17 futsal tournament.

The closing date for registration has been extended to today at6pm.
