Sibu Jaya FT prowess at futsal 1Malaysia

Baru Phase II at the Bukit Lima Integrated stadium here recently.

The team vanquished V8 Sibu 5 – 1 in the final to take home Datuk Tiong Thai King’s trophy.

They also bagged other prizes, including cash RM1,000.

V8 Sibu being the first runner-up won RM500 and a trophy.

The success of Sibu Jaya FT was further boosted when one of its players, Mohd Rabbani Jemat was adjudged the best player in the final.

In the semi-finals, V8 Sibu set aside TZ Teku 3- 2 while Sibu Jaya FT conquered Nazario 4 -2.

TZ Teku and Nazario were the joint third. They received cash RM250 and a trophy each. Lanang MP’s political secretary Tang Tung King officiated at the closing ceremony.

Deputy chief of PBB Dudong branch Annuar Bai and chairman of KRT Kampung Usahajaya Baru Phase II Olive Bol, who was the championship organizing chairman, were among those present.

A total of 37 teams, including teams from Bintulu, Sri Aman and Sarikei took part in the two-day championship.

STATISTIC grab inter-government dept futsal title

KUCHING: Team ‘STATISTIC’ from the Statistics Department emerged champion of the invitational futsal league for government department held at Sportsplanet Arena recently.

STATISTIC won 3-1 against SUKSES from the Public Service Commission (SPA) while in third spot was a team from the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Consumerism and Cooperatives.

A total of 13 teams from various government department competed in the league which was organized by the Statistics Department of Sarawak Recreational Club.

Prizes was presented by the state Statistics Department director Lee Ting Siing.
