A remarkable achievement

Report by Omonia News Portal

Omonia has finished the regular season matches without dropping a single point. Our team has won almost all matches, seventeen in particular, with a minimum three goal difference.
Yesterday Omonia won against City Futsal F.S.C, 8-3 being the scoreline.

One of our captains (and Latvian National team captain) Andrey Alekseyevs stated the following: "It was a difficult game, just like every game we had so far. We knew that we had to win and all my team mates were very well focused on doing so. We have had a week to prepare for this match and we did exactly what our coach Koullis Mavroudis asked us to. We are very satisfied that we will begin the play off matches with this important advantage of eleven points. It is difficult for our opponents to cancel out this advantage. We will continue to work hard in order to win this year’s championship"

Alekseyevs scored two beautiful goals last night. He commented: "It is always very nice to score. To me, the most important thing is Omonia to win"

The big question for Omonia players at the play off stage is to remain motivated. No game is easy until the players perform in a way to make things easier for them. Very strong teams (Parnassos, Ararat and Spe) are ahead of us and we need to be really careful.
