Futsal brings indoor soccer to Zeeland

Teams and individuals are encouraged to sign up and play in a six-week Futsal soccer league from 1-3 p.m. on Saturdays, beginning March 3.

Instructor Joe Brefczynski will lead the adult coed Futsal, which combines soccer with fitness. Futsal is an adaptation of outdoor soccer that uses a specially designed ball to increase speed of play and allow soccer to be played safely indoors.

Deadline for registration is Monday, Feb. 27.

The cost is $30 for residents and $42 for nonresidents. The league is limited to 60 players.

Futsal will be played in the main gym at Cityside Middle School.
