Hacienda CDC to build covered futsal court in Northeast Portland's Cully community

Hacienda Community Development Corporation in Northeast Portland has announced plans to build a covered futsal court on N.E. Killingsworth Street and Cully Boulevard to celebrate 20 years in the Cully community.

The project, which aims to give neighborhood children a safe place to play futsal -- indoor soccer -- will be adjacent to the Baltazar Ortiz Community Center. Construction is expected to begin in April.
Corporate partners and individuals are expected to pay for the $150,000 cost. The project will serve Hacienda's Clara Vista, Clara Vista Townhomes and Villa de Sueños residences, as well as the greater Cully community.
