Carlos AruafuTuesday, 28 February 2012The Spanish national futsal coach to assist the Solomon Islands national futsal squad, Kurukuru has arrived in the country yesterday.
José Venancio López Hierro the Spanish national futsal coach arrived in the country accompanied by the Oceania Football Confederation's (OFC) new futsal development officer, Paul Toohey.
The two men were met at the Honiara international airport by the Solomon Islands Football federation (SIFF) futsal development Officer, Victor Wai'i and SIFF officials.
Wai'i said Mr Hierro and Mr Toohey will be meeting the Kurukuru team today.
He added that training sessions programmed for José Venancio López Hierro and the Kurukuru team will also kick off today starting at 9am.
Wai'i said there will be two trainings sessions for the Kurukuru team with Mr Hierro for the four days while in the country.
During the four days visit Mr Hierro will be assisting the Kurukuru team in some technical and tactical areas in preparation for the upcoming FIFA futsal World Cup in Thailand this year.
