MONDAY, MAR. 5: Dandy Stars showed why you play right to the end in Saturday’s Women’s Futsal League play at Bermuda College.

Dandy Stars One were down 2-1 at the half to PHC as Aaliyah Nolan and Kali Lespere put the Lady Zebras in position to win.

Stars came out firing on all cylinders in the second half as they scored three times to win the match 4 to 2.

K'sheala Burch-Waldron led the charge with two goals while teammates Rayni Maybury and Tia Sampson also scored.

Dandy Stars’ stablemate DS2 did not fare as well as they had to forfeit to North Village.

YMSC 1, HPWC 4

Hamilton Parish has demonstrated that being young is not a disadvantage. The youthful Hot Peppers slipped four goals past Social Club to win this match 4-1.

Kiseantar Grant had the lone reply for YMSC.

Jadae Steede-Hill had a brace while LeiLannia Nesbeth and Keis ha Hollis both scored single tallies for the winners.

The Hot Peppers are the youngest team in the league and have shown great potential.

Robin Hood 2, SCC 2

While Robin Hood have dominated most of their games this season, Somerset proved they were equal to the task last Saturday night.

Tasia Trott and Sharri Weldon gave Somerset a 2-1 halftime lead.

The Trojans then had to withstand a fierce counter-attack by girls from the Hood. SCC goalkeeper Chelsea Harvey made a number of incredible saves that helped her side earn a share of the spoils.

Cheyra Bell and Precious Smith scored for Robin Hood.

The draw allows North Village to take over the league lead with one week to go.

Games start at 5pm at the Bermuda College Gym on Saturday.
