Whitedale clinch Shetland Futsal League title

The fifth session of the Under 14s Futsal League saw Whitedale prevail over the chasing pack, picking up the six points required with victories over Rangers and Thistle.

Ness Utd and Whalsay were the form teams of the meeting, both unbeaten in their four games. Indeed it was the boys from the Bonnie Isle who put paid to both Delting and TSBs’ chance of catching Whitedale with a victory and a draw respectively.

Whitedale captain Jack Duncan was delighted to collect the Regan Gibbs Cup on behalf of his teammates. This was a particularly fitting conclusion to the most competitive Futsal league to date as it was the Westside club that Regan starred for before his life was cut short.

Special thanks from all the clubs involved to Martin Gibbs who continues to organise and sponsor this highly valued competition.
