SAM Porch bagged a hat-trick of goals as Park Rangers completed the Bundaberg Futsal Association senior men's league champions-grand final double with a 6-5 victory over Barca.

The match was a fitting culmination to the association's inaugural season and an exciting night of seven finals at the Kirk-Wood Sports Centre at Norville State School.

Barca contained men's Golden Boot winner Luke Leggett, who bagged 39 for the season, restricting him to just one in the decider.

Senior women's champions Girlfriends edged out Whatever 7-6 in another final thriller.

However, the biggest star on the program was Ben Daniels, who struck seven times as Fairy Penguins upset Hot Chippies 10-4 in the under-13 final.

Association president Jim Cairney said the first season was a great success.

It included conducting a grass-roots program for youngsters and playing out of two venues, the YMCA and Kirk-Wood Centre.

The association will hold a senior winter season, with mixed on Tuesday nights and men's on Wednesday nights.

Sign-ons and pre-season games started yesterday and continue tonight. Cairney said you don't need to be in a team to join.
