Big win for Bahrain against Iraq

Manama – Bahrain managed to get the perfect start after winning against Iraq 8-2 on Tuesday, at the opening match of WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.

Yasmeen Tobellah (4), Deena Abdelrahman (6, 8 ,23 and 38), Reem Al Hashmi (14 and 16) and Manar Yaqoob (37) scored for Bahrain, while Rojeen Sarhan (21) and Sipal Rasheed (35) scored for Iraq.

The third team in the Group, Iran, well play their first match against Iraq on Thursday.

Their will be 2 matches in Group B on Wednesday, Jordan play Qatar, and Lebanon face Palestine.

Wins for Jordan and Lebanon in Group B

Manama – Jordan started their campaign with a big win against Qatar 20-0 on Wednesday in Group B of WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.

Stephanie Al Naber (1, 3, 37), Farah Alazab (2, 22, 37), Maysa Jbarah (9, 10, 23, 29, 35, 38), Abeer Al Nahar (14, 17, 31, 36), Hebah Fakher Elddin (16), Enshirah Al Hyasat (21), Shahnaz Jebreen (31) and Abeer Rantisi (39) scored the winning goals for Jordan.

In the other match at the same group, Lebanon won against Palestine 5-2.

Sara Bakri (29), Sara Haidar (35, 38) and Nancy Tchaylian (37, 40) scored for Lebanon, while Nevin Alkolayb (20 and 38) scored Palestine two goals.

The second round of the group will be played on Friday, as Jordan face Lebanon, while Palestine plays Qatar.

The Championship started on Tuesday when Bahrain defeated Iraq 8-2 in Group A, while Iran meets Iraq on Thursday at the same group.
