Slots still available for KDM Women's Futsal

Kota Kinabalu: There are still slots available for teams keen to take part in the KDM Malaysia Women's Cup Futsal Championship on Apr 28.

KDM Malaysia Beliawanis chief, Bibi Zairah said the event would be held at the Penampang Futsal.

She said participation is open to 30 teams only and that the closing date is on Apr 14.

"Apart from an activity for female youths, the championship is also part of our social contribution to provide space and opportunity to the youths to take part in a healthy activity," she said, adding that President of KDM Malaysia, Datuk Peter Anthony, will be officiating at the event.

The teams will be divided into several groups to contest in a league format to determine two top teams who will advance into the next round.

Bibi said the eight-player teams are only allowed to list one State futsal player or football player.

The winner stand to win top prize of RM3,000, second prize RM1,000, third place, RM500 and fourth place, RM300.

Bibi said there would be also prizes for Best Player, Top Scorer and Best Goalkeeper.
