Azkals player scores 5 goals vs Myanmar in AFF Futsal

MANILA, Philippines – Azkals player Misagh Bahadoran led the Philippine futsal team past Myanmar in the 2012 AFF Futsal Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bahadoran, who plays forward for the Azkals, scored all of the Philippines’ five goals against Myanmar in Group A's second match at the Acachai Acadium.

According to Asean Football, Bahadoran struck successive goals in the second, third, 22nd, 23rd and 30th minute of the game before Myanmar replied with their first goal through Pyae Phyo Maung in the 26th minute.

Myanmar worked hard to close the gap, but the Philippine defense held on to secure a 5-4 victory.

With the win, the Philippine futsal team picked up their first three points of the competition.

Futsal is a variant of football that is played on a smaller pitch and mainly played indoors.
