Futsal Facility Disturbs Residents` Comfort

The presence of Go All Futsal facility at RT 001/02, Srengseng Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-District, West Jakarta, is disturbing residents’ comfort. Almost every night, residents’ resting time is disturbed with loud noises coming from the futsal facility.

Actually, when the futsal court was still under construction, residents have sent objection letter addressed to RT/RW officials as well as urban village and sub-district heads. Then on October 14, 2011, residents were again sent letter to sub-district building supervision and controlling (P2B) officials who responded residents’ objection by sealing the facility until its construction stopped. However, it did not long lasting since the construction started again soon afterward.

“The letter has clearly shown our objection (towards the futsal facility construction) because it would cause bad effect. But the fact was the construction still continued until it operated since four months ago. Turns out right, our comfort is disturbed with loud noises until late night,” complained Made Putera (45), local resident, Friday (4/20).

According to him, residents have delivered their objection letter to Kembangan Sub-District head to take immediate action. “Because, we have been harmed. We used to live and rest peacefully, but now not anymore. So, we beg related units to immediately control the futsal facility,” said Made.

Kembangan Sub-District Secretary Iyan Sofyan Hadi confirmed about residents’ complaint towards the presence of Go All Futsal facility. However, for now he cannot respond it, considering this matter needs to be coordinated first with related units like West Jakarta Building Supervision and Controlling (P2B) Sub-Department and Satpol PP related to Disturbance Act (UUG).

“We will coordinate first with related units, especially for allotment matter. If the futsal facility does violate the rule, we will summon its owner to find the best solution,” he stated.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, there are two courts in this futsal facility which only separated by a three-meter wide wall with resident’s house. Moreover, this facility does not have extra borders to seal it from neighborhood area.
