VN face Indonesia in regional futsal

Viet Nam will take on Indonesia in the semi-finals at the 2012 ASEAN Futsal Championships being held in Bangkok, Thailand. Indonesia finished second in Group B behind Thailand.

Viet Nam yesterday crushed Malaysia 7-2 in the last match of Group A to take the top place in the group with a maximum of 12 points after four matches. Previously, the team, coached by Italian coach Sergio Gargelli, easily beat the Philippines 6-1 in the opener, Myanmar 3-0 in the second match and Cambodia 4-1 in the third match.

Malaysia will face the Group B winner, Thailand, in the other semifinal match.
