The Borneo PostSK2P champion of education department futsal tourneyApril 30, 2012, MondayKUCHING: Team SK2P lifted the inaugural Sarawak Education Department Director’s Cup when they emerged champions in the Open category and runners-up in the Veteran of the inter-section department futsal tournament last Saturday.
In the Open final played at Sarawak Sports School SMK Tabuan Jaya futsal court, SK2P edged PPD Samarahan 2-1 while SPPK beat Fourth Floor 1-0 to finish third.
The SK2P Veteran team that was captained by Sarawak Education Department director Abdillah Adam lost 0-2 to BTPN on penalty shoot out after the score was tied 3-3 at full time. IPG KBL came in third after thrashing SPPK 5-1 in the third/fourth play-off.
The other team in the Open competition was SPPK while PPD Kuching also participated in the Veteran contest.
