November 20th, 2011. Clayton Baptistela is wearing the Montesilvano shirt n°7 in the decisive elite round game between the competition holders and the italian champions Marca Futsal. The match ends with a 2-2 draw which allows Marca Futsal to enter the Lleida 2012 final four, denying Montesilvano the last chances to revalidate their 2011 unforgettable title.

December 17th about, 2011. In the last days of the "market window" Baptistela is ready to wear another shirt, the Marca Futsal's black and white one.

April 27th, 2012. This time the shirt number is 9, but the player wearing it in Lleida is the same mentioned before: Clayton Baptistela.

And here comes the "big mistake" of Marca Futsal, that "forgot" the following article of the UEFA Futsal Cup 11/12 regulations, as correctly pointed out by the ukrainian reporter Anatoly Podvoysky through the pages of the national portal futsal.sport.ua

Player transferred in the course of the season

16.12 In the course of a season, a player is eligible to play only for one single Futsal club in this competition. Exceptionally, if a player fulfils the two following conditions, he may play for another club which is also taking part in this season’s competition:

a) The player has not been fielded for any UEFA Futsal Cup matches by the first club in question. (The fact that his name may have appeared on a match sheet is taken to mean that he was fielded in the match).
b) The player concerned is eligible to play for the other club by the deadlines set in paragraph 16.07 and he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the aforementioned procedure.

This basically means that Marca Futsal would have lost in any case their semifinal to Dinamo Moscow. Sometimes losing "in the pitch" is not the most bitter option.
